CCTV footage showed a bunch of individuals shaking the century-old suspension bridge in Gujarat's Morbi. The visuals showed the hanging bridge, over the Macchu river, moments before it plummeted into the waterbody. Nearly 132 people were killed after a suspension bridge collapsed in Gujarat's Morbi on Sunday evening. A criminal case has been registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. In a key development, the head of Morbi's civic body has claimed that the bridge was reopened without the authorities' permission. A search and rescue operation is underway.
