AAP Cites Delhi Pollution Report in Yamuna War With BJP Govt Ahead of Chhath

The political battle over Yamuna pollution ignites in Delhi ahead of Chhath Puja, with the Aam Aadmi Party's Saurabh Bharadwaj accusing the BJP-led government of misleading devotees. ‘If those poor people, their small children, drink this water, imagine how sick they will be,' the Aam Aadmi Party claimed, presenting water samples and a Delhi Pollution Control Committee (DPCC) report as evidence. The report allegedly shows fecal coliform levels far exceeding the permissible limit, rendering the river unfit for bathing. The BJP, represented by leaders like RP Singh, has dismissed the allegations, pointing to a visually cleaner, foam-free Yamuna and accusing the opposition of playing politics over the sacred festival. The AAP contends that the absence of foam is merely cosmetic and masks the real danger lurking in the water.
