Chinmayanand case: Arrested law student sent to 14-day judicial custody in extortion case

The Shahjahanpur law student, who has accused BJP leader Chinmayanand of rape, has been arrested in the extortion case against her. The woman has been sent to 14-day judicial custody in the extortion case against her. The law student was arrested from her house by the Special Investigation Team of the Uttar Pradesh Police around 9.15 am. She was then taken for medical examination, they said. She will be produced before a court later in the day, they added. The law student's arrest case a day after a local court admitted the interim bail plea filed by the law student. While the court had fixed Thursday for hearing her plea, which sought protection from arrest, the SIT arrested the law student on Wednesday.
