Vivo X300 Ultra vs X300 FE: Design

The Vivo X300 Ultra carries an oversized circular camera module on the back, while the X300 FE has a horizontal oval-shaped camera module placed near the top.

The Vivo X300 Ultra is not a light device. It weighs around 237g. Most of the weight is placed towards the top because of its sophisticated camera system. On the other hand, the X300 FE has balance size with weighs 191g and measures 7.99mm thick.

Vivo X300 Ultra vs X300 FE: Display

The Vivo X300 Ultra and X300 FE both feature AMOLED panels with near bezel-less designs and punch-hole cutouts, but there are some notable differences between the two when it comes to size, resolution, and refresh rate.

The X300 Ultra takes the lead with a larger 6.82-inch display, compared to the more compact 6.31-inch screen on the X300 FE. For users who prefer a bigger canvas for media consumption and gaming, the Ultra has a clear edge.

Resolution is where the gap becomes more apparent. The X300 Ultra offers a QHD+ resolution of 1440 x 3168 pixels, delivering sharper and more detailed visuals. The X300 FE, on the other hand, tops out at an FHD+ resolution of 1216 x 2640 pixels.

On the refresh rate front, the X300 Ultra supports a smoother 144Hz, which is particularly beneficial for gaming and fast-scrolling content. The X300 FE offers a 120Hz refresh rate, which, while slightly lower, still delivers a fluid and responsive experience for most users.

Vivo X300 Ultra vs X300 FE: Processor

Both the Vivo X300 Ultra and X300 FE draw their power from Qualcomm's latest generation chipsets. The X300 Ultra steps ahead with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, Qualcomm's top-tier offering, while the X300 FE makes do with the slightly lower-tier Snapdragon 8 Gen 5.

RAM is another area where the two diverge. The X300 Ultra comes equipped with a generous 16GB of RAM. The X300 FE, by comparison, offers 12GB — still more than adequate for most users, but a step behind the Ultra, nonetheless.

Vivo X300 Ultra vs X300 FE: Camera

Both the Vivo X300 Ultra and X300 FE adopt a triple rear camera setup, but the gap in hardware between the two is substantial, with the Ultra clearly positioning itself as the more serious photography-focused device.

The X300 Ultra carries a 200-megapixel primary sensor capable of up to 3.7x optical zoom and 105x digital zoom, giving it exceptional reach for distant subjects. Its telephoto camera is equally powerful, also resolving at 200 megapixels, while a 50-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens rounds out the triple camera system. Video recording is equally capable, with support for 8K at 30fps — a feature reserved for flagship devices.

The X300 FE, by contrast, takes a more modest approach. It pairs a 50-megapixel primary shooter with a 50-megapixel telephoto lens offering up to 3x optical zoom, and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera. While the setup is competent for everyday photography, it falls considerably short of the Ultra in terms of resolution and zoom capability. It also features a dual LED flash for low-light assistance.

The two devices are evenly matched on the selfie front, with both sporting a 50-megapixel front camera paired with a screen flash for improved low-light self-portraits.

Vivo X300 Ultra vs X300 FE: Battery

The two devices are closely matched on the battery front, though the X300 Ultra edges ahead in both capacity and charging speed.

The X300 Ultra houses a slightly larger 6,600mAh battery compared to the 6,500mAh cell in the X300 FE. The 100mAh difference is marginal in practice and is unlikely to translate into a noticeably different battery life experience between the two.

The X300 Ultra supports 100W Flash Charging, allowing it to replenish its battery at a considerably faster rate. The X300 FE, while still respectable, tops out at 90W fast charging. Both devices charge via a USB Type-C port.

Vivo X300 Ultra vs X300 FE: Price and availability

The two devices sit in very different price brackets, reflecting the gap in hardware and positioning between them.

The X300 FE is available in two storage configurations. The base 12GB RAM and 256GB storage variant is priced at Rs 79,999, while stepping up to the 12GB RAM and 512GB storage model will set buyers back Rs 89,999.

The X300 Ultra, on the other hand, comes in a single configuration — 16GB RAM paired with 512GB storage — at Rs 1,59,999. Both devices will go on sale starting May 14, available across online platforms including Flipkart and Amazon, as well as through offline retail channels.
