Coronavirus: West Bengal reports its 1st case, patient had travel history to London

A man, who recently returned from England, on Tuesday tested positive for the novel coronavirus, making it the first case in the state, a health department official said. The man was admitted to Beleghata ID Hospital after he showed symptoms of Covid-19, he said. Medical examinations revealed that the person had contracted novel coronavirus, officials said.

TVK leader C Joseph Vijay on Sunday took oath as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu amid a sea of supporters, his friends and family, and several political leaders. Eight other TVK leaders were sworn in besides him, as ministers in the new government. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also attended the ceremony.
