Cyclone Montha News: AP on High Alert Post-Cyclone Monta; Restoration Efforts Underway

This special report covers the aftermath of Cyclone Monta, which has battered the coastal areas of Andhra Pradesh, with Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu set to conduct an aerial survey of the damage. An official stated, 'there is no life loss because of that monitoring and there is some night wind was very high'. The cyclone made landfall near Amalapuram, causing widespread damage in districts like Kakinada, Konasima, and Guntur, leading to uprooted trees, power outages, and flooding. A search and rescue operation is currently active in Kakinada for one person who went missing after venturing out to save his boat. Authorities have issued red and orange warnings for several districts expecting continued heavy rainfall. Meanwhile, multi-agency teams, including the NDRF, are working around the clock to restore normalcy and clear debris from blocked highways.
