Mamata became minister due to Sonia Gandhi's blessing, now abusing her son: Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury

Congress's West Bengal unit president Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury targeted the Trinamool Congress (TMC) and its chief, Mamata Banerjee, indicating further layers of divide between both sides.

Adhir Chowdhury said that Mamata Banerjee has been speaking on the lines of the BJP and that she has been targeting Rahul Gandhi despite becoming a minister "after the blessings of Sonia Gandhi". Adhir Chowdhury's statements come days after Mamata Banerjee ditched Congress in her state ahead of the Lok Sabha polls and declared she would fight solo in Bengal. On Friday, the TMC supremo launched a scathing attack on Congress, casting doubt on its vote count in the upcoming polls. Mamata Banerjee said that she has doubts whether Congress would be able to secure "even 40 seats" in the upcoming general elections.
