Former union minister and BJP leader Manoj Sinha has been appointed as the new Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir. This comes after President Ram Nath Kovind accepted the resignation of Girish Chandra Murmu as the LG of Jammu and Kashmir.
On Wednesday, J&K Lieutenant Governor GC Murmu had sent his resignation letter to the Centre to vacate his post immediately.
