MSP and APMC will continue: Rajnath Singh on farm bills

Defence minister Rajnath Singh today defended the farmers' bill, which was passed today in Rajya Sabha amid massive ruckus. He assured farmers that the minimum support price (MSP) and APMC will stay.

"I want to assure farmers that minimum support price and APMC will continue. These will never be removed at any cost," Rajnath Singh said.

He went on to add, "These bills are revolutionary, farmers' income will increase. The truth is, that once these bills come into effect, farmers can sell their produce anywhere in the country wherever they get the best price."
