Swords, sticks brandished at Ram Navami rally in Bengal's Howrah | Video

A Ram Navami rally in West Bengal's Howrah district on Wednesday evening saw youths from Swami Vivekananda Seva Sangh brandishing swords and hockey sticks. The rally was taken out in Howrah's Sankrail district where several youths were carrying armed weapons during the Ram Navami procession.

A heavy police force was deployed on the spot to prevent any untoward incident. This procession was taken out from Rajganj Rath Tal Mela Ground to Manikpur Beltala via road for about two kilometres. Hindu organisations had planned to take out processions at more than 500 places across the state to celebrate the Ram Navami festival.

While Vishwa Hindu Parishad is prepping to celebrate Ram Navami with full fervour, the Hindu Jagran Manch will celebrate the festival at 600 places across West Bengal.
