Vijay secures majority mark as Left parties, VCK back TVK

In his first interview post the new Motor Vehicles Act, Union Minister of Road Transport and Highway Nitin Gadkari today defended the move and said it's the responsibly of a welfare govt to save the lives of its people.
Gadkari said, "This is in public interest. It's the responsibly of any welfare govt that how it save the lives of people by and large. And this is not a political subject. I consider this subject as how I save the lives of people."
On some states reducing fines, Gadkari said, "This is not a decision taken by govt to increase revenue. That fact is that every year in the country, we are facing 5 lakh accidents, 1.5 lakh deaths and out these deaths 65 per cent belong to the age of 18 to 35."
