Uddhav Thackeray and his family visit Raj Thackeray's home on Ganeshotsav

Shiv Sena (UBT) chief Uddhav Thackeray, along with his family, visited Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) president Raj Thackeray’s residence in Mumbai on the occasion of Ganesh Utsav, marking a significant family reunion after nearly two decades of estrangement. The meeting has intensified speculation about the future of Maharashtra's politics. This is the third meeting between the estranged cousins in the last two months, fuelling discussions about a potential political alliance between the UBT Sena and MNS ahead of the crucial civic body polls. Such a development could potentially polarise Marathi voters and alter the state's political arithmetic. Reacting to the reunion, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis offered a cryptic remark, stating, "May good sense prevail."
