Union Cabinet Approves Delhi Metro Phase 5A With ₹12,015 Crore Budget: Ashwini Vaishnaw

In a major infrastructure push, the Union Cabinet has approved Phase 5A of the Delhi Metro network. Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Ashwini Vaishnaw announced the decision, stating that the new phase will involve an investment of ₹12,015 crore. The expansion comprises a 16-km long new line featuring 13 stations, of which 10 will be underground and three elevated. With this addition, the total length of the Delhi Metro network is set to cross the 400-kilometer mark. The project aims to further enhance connectivity across the National Capital Region.
