As the 2022 Uttar Pradesh (UP) assembly election draws closer, the political parties have intensified their efforts to woo different cross-sections of voters.
While Mayawati promised to preserve and secure the dominant Brahmin community's interests if elected for the fifth time in Uttar Pradesh, the BSP staged a series of "prabuddh sammelans" (intellectual meetings) led by its Brahmin face and party general secretary Satish Chandra Misra from Ayodhya.
Meanwhile, the BJP is banking heavily on women-centric schemes to win the 2022 Uttar Pradesh assembly elections. However, the big question is who Uttar Pradesh will vote for?

TVK leader C Joseph Vijay on Sunday took oath as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu amid a sea of supporters, his friends and family, and several political leaders. Eight other TVK leaders were sworn in besides him, as ministers in the new government. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also attended the ceremony. The TVK managed to secure the Governor's nod to form the government after the Congress, the CPI, the CPI(M), the VCK, and IUML extended their support to the Vijay-led party for a colaition government.
