WATCH: First batch of Rafale fighter jets take off from France

The first batch of Rafale jets has flown out from France and will reach India on Wednesday, according to latest reports. The first batch of five Rafale jets, made by French aviation company Dassault, will join the Indian fleet of aircraft on Wednesday.

In a tweet, the Indian embassy in France said, "Delivery of ten aircraft has been completed on schedule. Five will stay back in France for training Mission. The delivery of all thirty six aircraft will be completed on schedule by the end of 2021."

The five jets include the trainer RB-003 (RB for Rakesh Kumar Singh Bhadauria - the Chief of Air Staff). The visuals, shared on Twitter, showed the Indian ambassador to France, Jawed Ashraf, interacting with the Indian pilots before they flew from France.
