Mamata Banerjee to meet CEC Gyanesh Kumar over voter list row

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will meet Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar this evening in Delhi over the voter list row. The Chief Minister, accompanied by Abhishek Banerjee and Kalyan Banerjee, is set to formally record her objections against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list. Banerjee has described the SIR exercise as an 'arbitrary, politically motivated exercise' and has alleged significant irregularities in the process. Visuals show the leaders dressed in black as a mark of protest during their visit to the Election Commission. Furthermore, the Bengal Chief Minister has filed a plea in the Supreme Court challenging the Election Commissioner's actions regarding this matter.
