The teaser introduces the film’s central premise, which draws on historical events and debates, including references to the ban imposed after Mahatma Gandhi’s assassination and the controversy surrounding the Babri Masjid demolition. It positions the narrative around questions that have persisted in public discourse over the years.
Aakhri Sawaal follows Vicky (Namashi Chakraborty), a young scholar whose academic dispute with his mentor, Professor Gopal Nadkarni (Dutt), escalates into a televised confrontation. The story explores themes of ideology, generational differences, and the search for truth, set against a backdrop of historical references. At the centre is a mentor-student conflict that unfolds into a larger debate, with personal motivations shaping the narrative.
Apart from Dutt, the film features Amit Sadh, Namashi Chakraborty, Sameera Reddy, Neetu Chandra, and Tridha Choudhury in key roles.

Warang made his directorial debut with the Marathi film Picasso (2021), which received a Special Mention at the 67th National Film Awards. His previous works include Deja Vu, Prem Pratha Dhumshan, Piccolo, and the short film Virtual Reality.
The film is produced by Nikhil Nanda and Sanjay Dutt, with Puneet Nanda, Dr Deepak Singh, Gaurav Dubey, and Ujjwal Anand serving as co-producers. The story, screenplay, and dialogues are written by Utkarsh Naithani, with music composed by Monty Sharma and lyrics by Kumar Vishwas.
