Dhurandhar 2's 40 days at box office, and chances of beating Baahubali 2 this week

Ranveer Singh's Dhurandhar: The Revenge has entered its sixth week at the box office and is now closing in on the lifetime worldwide run of Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. The Aditya Dhar directorial is on the verge of breaking the nine-year-old record of the SS Rajamouli film and becoming the second-biggest Indian film of all time worldwide, with the latest figures putting the spotlight on whether it can get there before Thursday.
After 40 days in theatres, Dhurandhar 2 has earned Rs 1,131.64 crore nett in India and grossed Rs 1,779.02 crore globally. Even though collections have dropped, with the film earning Rs 1.05 crore nett on its 40th day, its run is still continuing.
The spy thriller collected Rs 19.52 crore nett in its fifth week alone. It now needs to gross around Rs 9 crore more to go past Baahubali 2, which stands at Rs 1788.06 crore worldwide.

The film released on March 19, and with its sixth week now under way, the focus remains on whether it can complete one last box-office milestone by moving past Baahubali 2 before the end of this week.
