Pregnant Deepika shoots King with SRK, fans call leaked pics pure Renaissance magic
Leaked pictures from King's South African schedule showed Deepika Padukone and Shah Rukh Khan walking hand in hand on set. The visuals sparked strong fan reactions as Deepika continued filming after announcing her second pregnancy.
Actor Deepika Padukone, who recently announced her second pregnancy, continues to work and is currently filming Shah Rukh Khan-starrer King. On Friday, leaked pictures from the film’s South African schedule showed Deepika and SRK walking hand in hand, seemingly while filming a song sequence.
While it is not clear when the pictures were taken, they surfaced on Friday morning after an X user shared them and said they were from the ongoing Cape Town schedule of Siddharth Anand's King. The images were later circulated by fan clubs and film enthusiasts on Instagram, Reddit and other platforms, where many fans praised the pair’s chemistry, styling and screen presence.
In the pictures, Deepika is seen in a floral-print gown, walking on the set. Shah Rukh, in an unbuttoned printed shirt with salt-and-pepper hair, is seen holding her hand as they walk, with crew members visible around them.
On Reddit, fans reacted enthusiastically to the visuals. One commented, “Why the hell is it looking like a Renaissance painting?” Another added, “Great styling for both.” Deepika also drew praise from viewers, with one fan writing, “My eyes always land on Deepika even if she's not in focus in the pic, even when I haven't read the caption to expect her in the pic. She's something else, man, look at her.”
Shah Rukh also received praise from fans. Referring to his look in the film, one wrote, “SRK looking incredible for 60. He doesn’t need all the CGI they end up using in the final product. Hopefully they tone that s**t down, but since this is obviously a flashback, I’m guessing they won’t.” Another fan said, “SRK looks amazing, better than Jawaan and Pathaan looks.”
Deepika's second pregnancy
Last Sunday, Deepika and her husband, actor Ranveer Singh, shared an Instagram post featuring their daughter, Dua, holding a positive pregnancy test, announcing that they were ready to become parents again. The post drew congratulatory messages for the couple.
The actor, meanwhile, will continue shooting for both King and her other film, Raaka, during her pregnancy.
Apart from Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika, King also stars Suhana Khan, Rani Mukerji, Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Jaideep Ahlawat, Jackie Shroff, Raghav Juyal and Abhay Verma in key roles. The film marks Suhana Khan’s theatrical debut after her film debut with the 2024 Netflix film The Archies.
Directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures, King is scheduled to release in cinemas on December 24, 2026.
