Ektaa Kapoor thanks Priyadarshan
Sharing a long post on social media, Kapoor reflected on collaborating with Priyadarshan on what she described as his 100th film. She said their journey together was shaped by “deep-rooted mutual respect”, despite people expecting “fireworks” when “two headstrong people” came together.
“I don’t think I’ve had more fun working with anyone than Priyadarshan,” she wrote.

Kapoor also recalled one of the first conversations she had with the filmmaker before starting the project. According to her, Priyadarshan had asked, “Ekta, are you making money on this film? I don’t work on a film if my producer doesn’t make money.”
Calling that mindset rare, Kapoor said the director ensured the producer felt secure before beginning a project. She added that she always knew both the film and the company’s money were “in the right hands”.
The producer admitted they had disagreements during the making of the film, but said those moments were always respectful. “A director has to steer the ship,” she wrote, while thanking Priyadarshan for his discipline and vision.

In another post, Kapoor praised the film’s cast, beginning with Tabu. She wrote that despite knowing the actor for years and watching her across films, she was still “figuring out” how Tabu manages to bring such depth to “every frame and every moment”.
Addressing Wamiqa Gabbi, whom she called “our very own Sundari”, Kapoor welcomed her to the “100Cr+ club” and said she was glad that Bhooth Bangla was the first film on that list for her.
Kapoor also thanked Paresh Rawal, calling him a legend whose presence makes every film feel “holistic”. For Rajpal Yadav, she wrote that he makes “comedy and joy look so easy”, both on and off-screen, and described him as part of the team’s “DreamTeam”.
