Sonam Kapoor calls Anand Ahuja her calm in chaos in romantic anniversary note
Sonam Kapoor marked eight years of marriage and a decade with Anand Ahuja by sharing unseen family photographs and a personal note. Her message traced their years across cities, homes, parenthood and the life they built together.
Sonam Kapoor and her husband, businessman Anand Ahuja, are celebrating eight years of marriage today, while also marking a decade of togetherness. On the special occasion, the actor shared a heartfelt note for Anand along with unseen family pictures featuring their two sons.
On Friday, May 8, Sonam posted a video montage of candid moments from their personal life. One of the pictures showed the actor holding their newborn baby in her arms, while Anand was seen putting their elder son Vayu to sleep.
In her caption, Sonam wrote, “A decade with you. Eight years married. Three cities. Three homes. Two beautiful boys. Countless dreams built from scratch. So many risks taken, lessons learnt, businesses created, failures survived, victories celebrated and moments where we held each other a little tighter through the uncertainty of it all (sic)."
She further added that through every phase of life they had shared together, her love, respect and compassion for Anand had only grown stronger with time.
The 40-year-old actor described Anand as the first person she wanted to speak to every morning and the last person she wanted beside her at night. She called him the calm in her chaos and the person who made her feel safest, strongest and most herself.
Sonam further expressed her love for Anand Ahuja, saying that ten years later, she loved him more gently, intentionally and completely than she had imagined when they first began their journey together.
The Raanjhanaa actor thanked Anand for building a life filled with laughter, friendship, resilience, family and a love that evolved instead of fading. She added that there was nobody else she would rather share her life with and wished him a happy anniversary with the hashtag “everyday phenomenal.”
Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja got married in Mumbai in 2018 in a star-studded ceremony attended by several Bollywood celebrities, including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Ranveer Singh.
The couple welcomed their first son, Vayu, in August 2022. They welcomed their second son in March 2026.
