After her blockbuster Telugu debut, Sita Ramam, in which she was seen alongside Dulquer Salmaan, Mrunal Thakur will be seen sharing screen space with Nani in the tentatively titled project, Nani 30. The film is an emotional family drama directed by debutant Shouryuv.
'NANI 30 WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN POSSIBLE IF NOT FOR SITA RAMAM'
Nani 30's mahurat shot took place in Hyderabad in February this year. Now, in an exclusive interview with indiatoday.tech, Mrunal expressed her excitement for the film. She said, "I am doing this film with Nani, which is a beautiful script that I have ever read and I am extremely proud to be associated with the entire team. It's director Shouryuv's debut film. I think I'm extremely blessed to have gotten that role and it wouldn't be possible if I had not done Sita (Ramam)."
She further added, "It (Sita) has already set a benchmark so high that even today when filmmakers approach me or when I tell them 'Sir, I'm excited to work with you', all they say is 'Amma please wait for some time because there is nothing nice or as big as Sita Ramam that's been made or written yet. So we want you to hold on and good scripts will come'."
'I'M MANIFESTING TO DO SOME INCREDIBLE WORK'
Mrunal, who has been part of regional cinema as well as Bollywood, continued, "I'm manifesting to do some incredible work not just in Telugu cinema but in Hindi and Marathi. I love languages and I want to explore beyond that."
Meanwhile, Mrunal will next be seen in Gumraah opposite Aditya Roy Kapur. The suspense crime thriller is the Hindi remake of the 2019 Tamil hit Thadam, which will hit the theatres on April 7.
