Raja Shivaji box office Day 5: Steady weekday hold for Riteish's film, eyes Sairat
Raja Shivaji has shown a strong hold over the weekdays as it manages to remain steady on both Monday and Tuesday. The Riteish Deshmukh film may just dethrone Sairat to become the top Marathi grosser soon.

Riteish Deshmukh's Raja Shivaji has entered its first week on a strong note at the box office. The film collected Rs 4.90 crore nett on Tuesday, taking its five-day total to Rs 44.40 crore nett in India. Its gross collection has crossed the Rs 50-crore mark, with the film earning Rs 52.68 crore in five days.
After collecting in double digits throughout its opening weekend, the film remained steady on Monday and Tuesday. With this run, Raja Shivaji has already emerged as the second highest-grossing Marathi film of all time in India, by surpassing Nana Patekar's Natsmart.

If the momentum continues, it could dethrone Sairat as the top Marathi grosser in India and become the second Marathi film to enter the Rs 100-crore club.
The maximum business for Raja Shivaji has come from the Marathi market. On Tuesday, it earned Rs 3.35 crore from its Marathi version, while the Hindi version contributed Rs 1.55 crore. The film also features Genelia Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Bhagyashree and Vidya Balan in key roles, while Salman Khan appears in a special appearance.
