Trisha wrote 'win' in cryptic post, internet heard CM Vijay

More than 10 days after Vijay's massive political win, Trisha Krishnan still doesn't seem ready to move on from the moment. At least that's what social media users believe. The actor's latest Instagram post on Karuppu success has once again sparked discussion online, with many social media users linking her caption to actor-turned-politician Vijay's recent electoral victory in Tamil Nadu.

On Wednesday, Trisha shared a set of behind-the-scenes pictures and videos from her latest Tamil film, Karuppu, in which she stars alongside Suriya. What drew the most attention was the caption that accompanied the post.

Trisha wrote, "My magical May said, one more for the win. Just God Things (sic)." Soon after, several users began suggesting that the word "win" was a reference to Vijay’s victory in the Tamil Nadu Assembly election earlier this month.

Latest post adds to online chatter

Trisha’s recent Instagram activity has remained in focus for some time, especially as it has been read by many online users through the lens of ongoing rumours about her equation with Vijay. Her latest post has only added to that conversation.

On May 4, Vijay's TVK emerged as the single largest party by public mandate. The same day also marked Trisha's 43rd birthday. A few days later, on May 10, Vijay took oath as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu after securing a majority with the support of other parties. Trisha attended the oath-taking ceremony and was seen greeting Vijay’s parents.

On May 11, Trisha shared a set of photographs of herself from the oath-taking ceremony. That post, too, drew notice for its caption, which read: "The love is always louder." A large section of the internet once again focused on the words used in the post.

As the post gained traction, users reacted to the caption in large numbers. One user wrote, "Everything was good until I checked the caption." Another comment read, "Awwww my cutie Trish. When talent meets destiny, beautiful things happen. Wishing you endless success and happiness always, My Queenyyyyyy."

Vijay and Trisha have long been one of Kollywood's popular on-screen pairings. From their first commercially successful collaboration in Ghilli to films such as Thirupaachi, Aathi, and Kuruvi, the two have shared the screen repeatedly over the years.

After a 15-year gap, they reunited in Leo, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. In recent months, their public appearances and social media activity have led to frequent online speculation about their relationship. However, neither Vijay nor Trisha has commented on the rumours.

Public appearances and speculation

One of the key moments that intensified the speculation came on March 5, when Trisha and Vijay arrived in the same car and made a joint entry at producer Kalpathi S Suresh and Meenakshi Suresh's son's wedding reception in Chennai. Their appearance together led to widespread discussion on social media about their relationship status.

Vijay’s public appearance with Trisha also came at a time when his wife, Sankgeetha Sornalingam, had filed for divorce in December 2025, which became public on February 27. During his election campaign as well, Vijay faced criticism from different political leaders over his association with Trisha.

Trisha’s latest post from Karuppu, along with her recent captions and appearance at Vijay’s oath-taking ceremony, has once again placed both of them at the centre of online conversation. Even as the speculation continues, neither of them has made any public statement on the matter.
