Rift in Karnataka BJP; Siddaramaiah government on graft cases against Yediyurappa

Karnataka's Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is struggling with internal issues. The party is currently divided into two sections, one led by state BJP president Vijayendra and the other by Basangouda Patil Yatnal. Yatnal has slammed BS Yediyurappa and Vijayendra for Karnataka's by-election losses. He urged the BJP leadership to reassess its approach, requesting that the party's High Command choose "someone honest and with values" as state in-charge.

The Karnataka cabinet decided to reopen corruption and money laundering cases against former chief minister and BJP leader BS Yediyurappa and his family members. The cabinet decided to request that the Governor review the petition submitted by TJ Abraham against the then-CM BS Yediyurappa, which was rejected by the Governor.
