Pandemic politics: FIRs to settle political scores?

The Congress on Thursday accused the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi of indulging in vendetta politics after a case was registered in Karnataka against Sonia Gandhi for raising questions over the PM-CARES fund.

It's raining FIRs. Two days ago over an allegation of an erroneous list of buses by Congress, UP Congress chief Ajay Singh Lallu and Priyanka's personal secretary Sandeep Singh were slapped with FIRs by UP govt. And this was followed by a counter FIR by Congress in Rajasthan on UP additional chief secretary home and Agra DM.

Video: Vijay swears in as Tamil Nadu CM amid roars, chants of frenzied crowd

TVK leader C Joseph Vijay on Sunday took oath as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu amid a sea of supporters, his friends and family, and several political leaders. Eight other TVK leaders were sworn in besides him, as ministers in the new government. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also attended the ceremony. The TVK managed to secure the Governor's nod to form the government after the Congress, the CPI, the CPI(M), the VCK, and IUML extended their support to the Vijay-led party for a colaition government.
