India captain Rohit Sharma withdrew his appeal against Dasun Shanaka after he was run out in the final over of the match by bowler Mohammad Shami at the non-striker's end.
Shami ran out Shanaka on the fourth delivery of the over after he tried to take an unfair advantage by moving too far out of the crease before the fast bowler bowled the delivery. Shami appealed to the umpire for what appeared to be a sure-shot run out against the batter who was batting on 98*, two runs short of a fantastic century.
