Indian athletes sparkle at Paris Olympics opening ceremony: In Photos

The Paris Olympics opening ceremony was hled on River Seine. The Parade of Nations was on boats ferrying athletes from 206 countries on Friday.

A total of 78 athletes and members of the support staff were on the Team India boat at the Parade of Nations.

Indian athletes waved the tri-colour and acknowledged the support from the fans, who gathered along the banks of River Seine. 

For the first time in the history of the Olympics, the opening ceremony was held outdoors. Rain created a bit of trouble during the Parade of Nations.
