Aditi Ashok on her 2nd Olympic campaign: I'm already a better player after Tokyo than I was at Rio

Aditi Ashok, who had finished 4th in women's golf at Tokyo 2020, opened up on the Indian government's Target Olympic Podium Scheme (TOPS) and the problems she faced during her second campaign at the Games in an exclusive interview with India Today.

"The day started out good, I was playing good all four days. Even on the final day I was calm, wasn't overawed or excited about it. I was playing good on the final day despite not having the best of tee.

"Eventually, when I missed the final part and I was walking it hit me that I was right there but I missed and couldn't get it done. You go to the Olympics and you know they are going to give out 3 medals and to finish 4th, it sucked. I was disappointed but was happy with all the support I got.

"I am going to work hard for 2024. I'm already a better player this Tokyo Olympics than I was at Rio so I'm sure I going to be a better player when I am going to Paris. I just hope the Village is not an hour-and-a-half away," Aditi Ashok told India Today's Rajdeep Sardesai.
