This week was anything but boring. From Anthropic’s continued streak of Claude launches to Elon Musk’s ongoing jabs at Mark Zuckerberg, the tension in the Middle East between the US, Israel and Iran refusing to ease, and fresh chatter around the real identity of Satoshi Nakamoto, there was plenty happening in tech and beyond.

But within tech, it wasn’t just news, there were a lot of fun gadget launches too. While we’ve already covered the smartphones, there’s more to catch up on. Laptops dominated the headlines this week, with Lenovo refreshing its Yoga and IdeaPad lineups, while MSI showed up with something unapologetically powerful.

Step away from laptops for a second, though, because Dyson quietly launched a handheld fan to help you beat the heat, and Philips dropped four new audio products in one go for your next party. Oh, and Logitech has a new gaming mouse that cuts click latency in ways that will matter to exactly the right kind of person.

A lot to catch up on, so let’s get into it.

Lenovo Yoga and IdeaPad laptops

Lenovo is doing a lot this week, and if you’ve been in the market for a new laptop, this might be worth your attention. The company has refreshed its premium lineup in India with a new generation of Yoga and IdeaPad devices.

The lineup spans Intel Core Ultra Series 3, AMD Ryzen AI 400 series, and Snapdragon X2 processors, so there’s a configuration for just about every kind of user. Leading the premium charge is the Yoga Slim 7 series, which brings ultra-light builds, OLED displays, and up to a claimed 31 hours of battery life on select models.

The Yoga 7 2-in-1 range adds a 360-degree convertible design with stylus support for designers and creators, while the IdeaPad 5 2-in-1 rounds things out for students and hybrid workers, with features like Wi-Fi 7, Dolby Audio, and AI-powered tools built in.

Pricing of the new Lenovo laptop series starts at Rs 1,19,990 for the IdeaPad 5 2-in-1 and goes up to Rs 1,99,990 for the Yoga Slim 7i Ultra Aura Edition. The laptops are already available to buy, with select models like the Yoga Slim 7x arriving from April 21. They are available via Lenovo’s official website, exclusive stores, and leading e-commerce platforms.

MSI Raider 18 Max HX A2W

While Lenovo is covering a wide range of users, MSI is going in a more extreme direction for those who want serious power. The brand has introduced two very different machines in India. The Raider 18 Max HX is clearly the headline device, packing an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor alongside Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU, 64GB of DDR5 RAM, and a 2TB NVMe SSD. It's for the users who want high frame rates or a machine to handle heavy workloads.

On the other hand, the Prestige 13 AI+ is aimed at professionals who want portability without compromising too much on performance. It runs on an Intel Core Ultra 7 chip with Intel Arc graphics, paired with 16GB LPDDR5 RAM and a 1TB SSD.

Summers are here, and Dyson has a neat little solution to help you beat the heat. Meet the newly launched Dyson HushJet Mini Cool, the brand’s first portable handheld cooling device. It weighs just 212g and can be used in multiple ways, you can hold it, wear it around your neck, or place it on a desk to make it your portable cooling companion.

The HushJet projection system is designed to keep noise levels in check without compromising airflow. Battery life is rated at up to six hours, it charges via USB-C, and the box includes a neck dock, charging stand, and travel pouch.
