Oppo Bubble launched with mini AMOLED screen, now you can take selfies better
Oppo launched a new accessory for users who like to take selfies using the smartphone's rear camera. It is called Oppo Bubble. It features a magnetic AMOLED display and attaches to the back of a phone.

Oppo introduced a new smartphone accessory called the Oppo Bubble in China. For selfie addicts or bloggers, this accessory could be an entertaining one. As smartphone rear cameras generally feature better sensors than front cameras, Oppo’s new accessory acts as a tiny secondary display that magnetically attaches to the back of a phone and helps to take better selfies. Oppo Bubble was announced alongside the recent launch of the Oppo Reno 16 series.
The accessory features a compact circular AMOLED touchscreen and works wirelessly with supported Oppo devices. Oppo says users can preview shots, adjust framing, and even trigger the camera remotely from up to 10 metres away. Apart from photography, the Bubble can also display wallpapers, emojis, live photos, short videos, and animated themes. So, this makes it more than just a selfie tool.
Oppo Bubble turns rear cameras into selfie cameras
If you have ever taken selfies using the rear camera, then you know it requires a lot of guesswork. Oppo appears to have come up with a solution. The Oppo Bubble makes rear-camera selfies much easier. With Bubble attached to the back of the phone, users can see a live preview of the frame directly on the tiny display.
Oppo says the feature could especially help during tripod shots, vlogging, or timed group photos. The company has also added wireless controls, allowing users to remotely capture photos while standing away from the device. The accessory pairs automatically with supported Oppo smartphones when brought nearby.
Oppo Bubble price, battery and compatibility
The Oppo Bubble is only 7mm thick and weighs around 27.5 grams. It packs a 550mAh battery and charges via a USB Type-C port. The accessory also supports custom wallpapers and decorative themes when not being used for photography.
Oppo has priced the Bubble at 499 yuan (roughly Rs 7,042) in China. As of now, the company has not confirmed a global launch. The accessory currently supports the Oppo Reno 14, Reno 15, Reno 16, Find X8, and Find X9 series smartphones. Users will also require a compatible magnetic case to attach the Bubble to Oppo devices.
