Delhi airport's beloved stray dog Kaddu found wandering in Dwarka, celebrations follow
Kaddu, the docile toothless dog living at Delhi Airport, was found on a street in Dwarka. The dog went missing in April.

Social media users are celebrating after Kaddu, the gentle stray dog who had mysteriously disappeared from Indira Gandhi International Airport months ago, was finally found wandering in Dwarka.
The update was shared on X by a user named Tanya, who posted a video showing Kaddu sitting calmly beside his rescuer on a roadside. The visibly tired but safe dog instantly triggered emotional reactions online from animal lovers who had been following the story for months.
“After months of relentless searching, she’s finally safe. Still, kindness won in the end,” Tanya wrote while sharing the clip.

Kaddu, known among frequent flyers and airport workers as a calm, toothless and friendly community dog, had become the centre of a larger controversy earlier this year after users began questioning the sudden disappearance of stray dogs from Delhi Airport premises.
The discussion intensified when animal rights activist Priyanshi publicly raised concerns online regarding two airport dogs: Kaddu and another dog named Dholu. Her posts triggered widespread debate around how community animals at airports are treated and whether authorities were being transparent about their whereabouts.
Following the uproar, Delhi Airport issued a public response explaining that several community dogs live around the terminals and are regularly fed and cared for under veterinary supervision.
The airport also addressed allegations surrounding one brown dog that had reportedly bitten two people and said the animal had later been safely returned to its familiar area after being calmed.
Regarding Kaddu, airport authorities acknowledged that they too had learned through social media that the dog had been missing since March 26 and expressed hope that he was safe.
Many users, however, defended the dogs throughout the controversy, insisting they had interacted with them frequently and never found them aggressive. Travellers shared stories of feeding Kaddu and spotting him around the terminals over the years.
Now, with Kaddu finally found safe, the internet has shifted from anxiety to relief with many calling the update the “best news on the timeline today.”
