US-Israel-Iran War Highlights: Trump says Iran agrees it will never have nuclear weapons

US-Israel-Iran War Highlights: The Middle East conflict is in its fourth week with no let-up, even as tentative signs of de-escalation emerge alongside continued military posturing. Iran launched multiple waves of missiles at Israel on Monday, setting off air raid sirens in Tel Aviv and beyond, even as US President Donald Trump delayed a planned strike on Iranian energy infrastructure citing “productive” talks with Tehran. The attacks, which caused damage to homes in northern Israel but no reported deaths, came amid heightened tensions after Iran moved to effectively shut the Strait of Hormuz, a vital global energy route. Meanwhile, at a roundtable in Tennessee, Trump suggested Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth was the first to push for military action.
