US Army Chief Randy George sacked amid Iran war by Pete Hegseth

US Secretary of Defence Pete Hegseth has dismissed Army Chief of Staff Randy George amid ongoing military operations in Iran. In a statement, Hegseth announced George's immediate retirement and thanked him for his service. The dismissal reportedly stems from a dispute over the promotion of four Army generals, two African-American and two female officers. Following the announcement, the Chiefs of the US Navy and Air Force expressed gratitude to George for his service. General Christopher Lee has been appointed as the acting Army Chief.
