Exit polls predict neck-and-neck fight in Bengal, give BJP advantage

In West Bengal, exit polls predicted a neck-and-neck contest between the ruling party Trinamool Congress  and the primary opposition BJP, following a record-breaking voter turnout of over ninety-two percent. The high participation has sparked contrasting claims, with the opposition attributing it to anti-incumbency and the ruling party expressing confidence in retaining power. The state also witnessed political turbulence, including allegations of electronic voting machine tampering, prompting the Election Commission to order repolling in affected booths. Meanwhile, in Tamil Nadu, exit polls suggested a potential cliffhanger, with a newly formed political party projected to emerge as the single largest entity, disrupting traditional alliances. In Kerala, projections pointed towards a decisive swing in favour of the opposition alliance, indicating a potential comeback. Additionally, exit polls from Assam predicted a consecutive third-term victory for the ruling party with a significant majority.
