M.K. Muthu (left) with his wife (now deceased). Muthu is Karunanidhi and his first wife Padmavathi's only son and also the eldest son in the family. He acted in a couple of movies.

M.K. Alagiri (left) with his wife Kanthi. Alagiri, the Union Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers, is Karunanidhi and his second wife Dayalu Ammal's first son.

Karunanidhi's chosen successor M.K. Stalin (left) with his wife Durgavathi. Stalin is the second son of Karunanidhi and Dayalu Ammal.

Karunanidhi and Dayalu Ammal's daughter Selvi (right) with her husband Selvam. Selvi is settled in Bangalore and runs several businesses, her husband head Udhaya TV, the Sun Network's Kannada channel.

Thamizharasu (right) with his wife Mohana. He is the youngest child of the Karunanidhi-Dayalu Ammal union and is in to film distribution and real estate.

Kanimozhi (right) with her husband Aravindan. Karunanidhi's daughter from his third wife Rajathiammal, Kanimozhi is a Rajya Sabha MP and a power centre in the DMK. Her husband is a software professional.
