Disha Patani house firing case: Delhi Police arrests gangster Bobby Kabootar

The Delhi Police Special Cell has arrested a dreaded gangster, Mahfooz, also known as Bobby Kabootar, in connection with the firing incident at actor Disha Patani's residence in Bareilly. Investigations revealed that Bobby Kabootar provided weapons to the shooters, which were reportedly sourced from abroad. The suspect is a history-sheeter who had been missing for seven years and is allegedly linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Beyond the Bareilly incident, his name has surfaced in the Sidhu Moose Wala murder case, where he reportedly conducted a recce of the singer's residence. The police stated that the motive behind the firing was likely 'protection money' extortion, a known modus operandi of the Bishnoi gang to threaten high-profile individuals. While two shooters were previously killed in an encounter and three others arrested, Bobby Kabootar's arrest is seen as a major breakthrough. The Punjab and Uttar Pradesh police are expected to seek his custody for further interrogation regarding multiple heinous crimes across the region.
