Hathras horror: UP top cop denies claims of forceful cremation, says family's consent was taken

Watch UP Police ADG (Law and Order) Prashant Kumar's exclusive interview with India Today where he talks about why Hathras gang rape victim's body was cremated in the middle of the night and the allegation that it was done without the permission and presence of victim's family members.
When asked why family's consent was not taken and why it was cremated in night, Prashant Kumar said, " I have already made my point very clear that we have got the report that at the headquarters that the cremation was done in the presence and with the consent of the family members. In the rural areas, there are certain customs that the dead body should be created and it should not be allowed to decay."
