President Donald Trump has suggested to advisers that he wants to grant himself a pardon before leaving office, sources familiar with the discussions have said. The conversations with top aides have happened in recent weeks, as per sources. It is not clear if the issue has been discussed between the US President and his advisers since the riots on Capitol Hill on Wednesday. Following the riots, however, Trump's White House Counsel Pat Cipollone, advised the president that he could face legal jeopardy for encouraging his supporters to storm the Capitol building, according to sources familiar with their discussions.
