A record-breaking music sprint

Sachdev composed nine songs in nine days for Dhurandhar Part 1, completing the background music in six days. For Dhurandhar 2, he created 14 songs in 11 days and finished the background score in three days. Dhar highlighted the exceptional speed and quality achieved in both albums.

Both albums were released within three months and reached the top global charts, with many songs receiving wide appreciation. Dhar noted this as a rare achievement in film music worldwide.

When every room turned into a studio

During the 15-day recording period, Dhar’s house became a studio with music sessions taking place in every room. Singers and musicians were constantly present and worked long hours to perfect the music. Sachdev was central to this effort, managing multiple roles despite health challenges.

The filmmaker added that support from lyricist Irshad Kamil and a dedicated team contributed to the project’s success. Dhar also mentioned the important role played by Sachdev’s partner, Magic, who helped maintain stability during the demanding schedule.

Dhar praised Sachdev’s commitment to music and emphasised his pursuit of honesty and depth rather than ease. This dedication, he said, comes from love and is evident throughout the Dhurandhar music.

The 43-year-old director concluded by expressing his gratitude and continued support for Sachdev’s work.
