Drishyam 3 teaser: Georgekutty's past catches up as buried secrets resurface
The teaser of Drishyam 3 has been unveiled, offering a look at the next chapter in Georgekutty's story as past events continue to affect his family. Starring Mohanlal, the film is set to release in theatres on May 21, 2026.

The much-awaited teaser of Jeethu Joseph’s Drishyam 3 is here, and it promises to raise the stakes higher than ever before. Headlined by Mohanlal, the third and final chapter in the blockbuster franchise picks up from the events of Drishyam 2 and hints that Georgekutty’s carefully protected world may be on the verge of falling apart.
The newly released teaser offers a chilling recap of the events that began with the original Drishyam in 2013 and continued in its 2021 sequel. Through Georgekutty’s voiceover, viewers are reminded of the lengths he went to in order to protect his family and preserve his small world.
However, the teaser suggests that his troubles are far from over. It hints that the case he believed was buried for good may not be closed after all.
Georgekutty also admits that this time “he is scared”.
It is signalling that the upcoming film could be the most intense and suspense-driven installment of the franchise yet.
He said, "I am just an ordinary man. My world is small, just my wife and my children. An unwanted guest invaded our privacy. A guest who had the power to destroy my family. Ensuring that guest would never return to ruin our lives, we sent him back forever."
Soon after, the teaser shows glimpses of Georgekutty’s family members, including his wife Rani, played by Meena, and their daughters, portrayed by Ansiba Hassan and Esther Anil. It also features Varun’s father and mother, played by Siddique and Asha Sharath.
The teaser suggests that all of them continue to be affected by the events of the past.
The film’s tagline, “The Past Never Stays Silent,” further teases a darker and more emotionally charged chapter.
Apart from Mohanlal, the film also stars Meena, Ansiba Hassan, and Esther Anil, all of whom reprise their roles from the previous films.
The first Drishyam, released in December 2013, emerged as a massive commercial success and became the highest-grossing Malayalam film of its time.
Its sequel, Drishyam 2, released in 2021 and was later remade in Kannada as Drishya 2, Telugu as Drushyam 2 and Hindi as Drishyam 2.
Drishyam 3 is set to hit theatres on May 21, 2026.
