Kannada actor Shiva Rajkumar posted a congratulatory message for Thalapathy Vijay on X, calling his party's win in the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections the actor's biggest victory.
Kannada superstar Shiva Rajkumar shared a congratulatory post on X, showering praise on actor-turned-politician Vijay after his party, Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK), made its superhit debut in the 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. Calling Vijay and his party’s win the biggest victory against adversity, Shiva Rajkumar commended him for being silent during scathing attacks against him.
Shiva Rajkumar wrote, “A well-deserved victory, Vijay. To be silent during scathing attacks and let your work speak is the biggest victory. During one of the interactions with the press, I had in jest said ‘TVK stands for Try Vijay As King’, and today you’ve stood tall like a king. May you fulfil all the promises made to the people of Tamil Nadu, and may there always be progress.”

Vijay’s maiden electoral outing has turned out to be a landmark moment. After launching Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam in 2024, he contested the 2026 Assembly elections across 234 constituencies in Tamil Nadu. The outcome was decisive, with the party emerging as the single largest force, securing 108 seats in its debut.
Vijay’s shift into politics has been measured over time, backed by his strong mass appeal and “Thalapathy” image, often reflected in the socially driven themes of his films.
Shiva Rajkumar on the work front
Meanwhile, Shiva Rajkumar has made notable cameo appearances in Tamil films in recent years. He appeared in Rajinikanth’s Jailer, earning strong appreciation for his screen presence, and also featured in Dhanush’s Captain Miller. He will be seen next in a cameo in Ram Charan’s Telugu film Peddi, set to release in theatres on June 4. He is also part of Jailer 2.
In Kannada, he was last seen in the fantasy action film 45. He is currently shooting for an emotional drama titled Dad, directed by Aneel Kanneganti. His upcoming slate also includes A for Anand, 666 Operation Dream Theatre, and Gummadi Narsaiah. Additionally, he will feature in the documentary Survivor, which chronicles his recent battle with cancer.
