34 deaths in AMU in 18 days leave faculty, V-C worried

At least 34 people, including teachers, have died in the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) due to the deadly coronavirus in the past 18 days.The grim situation has created havoc among students and faculty members. Vice-Chancellor on Sunday urging the ICMR to study the infection variant on the campus.

Looking at the ongoing situation, Vice-Chancellor Tariq Mansoor wrote a letter to ICRM on Sunday. In the letter, he said that a particular variant may be circulating in areas around the AMU campus and surrounding localities, which has led to these deaths.
