Bihar Assembly Election

The Bihar Assembly Elections 2025 will be held in two phases on November 6 and 11, with counting on November 14. The Bharatiya Swaraj Morcha has merged with JD(U), boosting Nitish Kumar’s strength ahead of the polls.

Prashant Kishor’s Jan Suraaj Party will contest all 243 seats, reserving 40 for women candidates. RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav is expected to contest two seats, including Raghopur and Phulparas.

Both the NDA and Mahagathbandhan are yet to finalise seat-sharing, with internal rifts visible. Security and election preparedness have been stepped up across key districts in Bihar.
