Bangkok-India flight passengers leave mess behind, woman calls out their behaviour

While travelling from Bangkok to India on a flight, a woman said she was thoroughly disappointed to notice seats littered with trash, following which she called out passengers’ behaviour in a post on Instagram.

Travel vlogger Sandhya Majji shared visuals of the cabin strewn with waste, with a text overlay reading “Bangkok to India flight.”

Calling the situation “shameful," Majji questioned passenger responsibility. “Isn’t it the responsibility of parents to either control their kids or clean up after them?” she wrote, adding that such behaviour was not limited to one flight. “I see trash left behind on flights all the time, even by adults, especially on flights full of Indians.”

She said the experience made her feel like she was “in a government bus in a village in India,” while adding that littering anywhere was unacceptable.

The vlogger also pointed out operational impacts, noting that such behaviour could delay flights. “These kinds of actions also lead to flight delays, because the flight attendants have to make sure the aircraft is clean before the next takeoff,” she said.

Recalling a separate incident, Majji described seeing a filthy airplane toilet. “Once, I saw a toilet where a man had peed all over the floor, with tissues scattered everywhere—it was completely wet and filthy. A flight attendant had to clean it with her hands. I felt so sorry for her,” she said, calling such conduct “incredibly disrespectful.”
