Ranveer Singh-starrer Dhurandhar is set to release in Japan in July, after its strong run in India. The overseas rollout has been confirmed with a localised trailer and a new poster, signalling a push into an important international market.
The Japan release is expected to open up a fresh revenue stream for the film. With Japanese audiences showing growing interest in large-scale Indian action films, Dhurandhar is looking to extend its theatrical journey beyond its domestic run and add to its global box office total.
Sharing the announcement on Wednesday, the makers wrote, "It’s time for Japan to experience the Dhurandhar energy! Arriving in theatres across Japan on 10.7.2026 (sic)."

Directed by Aditya Dhar and backed by Jio Studios and B62 Studios, the film features an ensemble cast including Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal and Sara Arjun. Music by Shashwat Sachdev has also helped the film gain traction across digital platforms.
Positioned as a gritty spy thriller, Dhurandhar is now looking to capitalise on its overseas expansion, with Japan emerging as a key market in its international plans.
DHURANDHAR 2 BOX OFFICE
Meanwhile, Dhurandhar 2 is continuing its strong box office run in India. Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar: The Revenge remained steady in its sixth week and is now nearing a major worldwide milestone. After 41 days, the film's global gross stands at Rs 1,780.82 crore, leaving it just Rs 8 crore short of going past Baahubali 2's Rs 1,788.06 crore.
On its sixth Tuesday, the spy thriller collected Rs 1.35 crore net in India. This took its 41-day domestic total to Rs 1,132.99 crore nett, while its domestic gross reached Rs 1,356.07 crore.
With Dhurandhar now headed to Japan and Dhurandhar: The Revenge continuing its run, the franchise remains in focus both at home and abroad.
