Ektaa Kapoor draws rare link between Akshay Kumar, her father Jeetendra
Producer Ektaa R Kapoor compared actor Akshay Kumar to her father, veteran actor Jeetendra, in a heartfelt post. Akshay recently starred in Bhooth Bangla, which was backed by Ektaa.

Producer Ektaa R Kapoor on Wednesday shared a note for Bhooth Bangla actor Akshay Kumar and her father, veteran actor Jeetendra. She thanked both actors for what she described as their discipline, work ethic and faith in a producer’s vision.
Her message also linked that discipline to the wider film business. Ektaa said actors who work consistently help create opportunities for producers across levels, from the biggest banners to mid-sized players. She said that kind of volume supports jobs, helps the industry grow and keeps its momentum going.
Ektaa's post for Akshay Kumar
In the note, Ektaa said a picture of Jeetendra and Akshay reminded her of what discipline can achieve. She said the two are so similar that speaking to Akshay often feels like speaking to her father. "Their discipline and their belief in the producer’s conviction, along with deep trust and respect is just wonderful (sic)," the producer wrote on X.
Ektaa also said that working in volume leads to job creation, and added that this is what Akshay brings to the table. She wrote, "Thank you, Akshay Sir, for giving every producer, from the top to the mid-sized, a chance to put their best foot forward (sic)."
Bhooth Bangla in theatres
India Today gave Bhooth Bangla 2.5 stars. A part of the review read, "You walk in expecting a roller-coaster. You get a slow, creaky haunted house ride that stops way too often and not in a fun, jump-scare way! If only this Bangla had fewer bhooths and a lot more brains."
Along with Akshay, the film also stars Wamiqa Gabbi, Tabu, Paresh Rawal and Rajpal Yadav. Directed by Priyadarshan, Bhooth Bangla was released in theatres on April 17.
