Samsung Galaxy Ring 2 launch reportedly delayed, may now arrive next year
Samsung is reportedly delaying the launch of the Galaxy Ring 2 until early next year. The upcoming smart ring is expected to feature improved sensors, a lighter design, and up to 10 days of battery life.

Samsung introduced the Galaxy Ring back in 2024, a titanium-built wearable designed for 24/7 health tracking. Since then, chatter about Galaxy Ring 2 has surfaced online from time to time. While it was widely expected that the Galaxy Ring 2 would unveil alongside Samsung's next foldable smartphones at a Galaxy Unpacked event later this year, a fresh report suggests the ring could be delayed.
What to expect: Galaxy Ring 2 release and details
According to Korean ET News, Samsung Electronics is adjusting the launch date of the Galaxy Ring 2 to early next year. Samsung has reportedly pushed back the launch timeline, citing factors such as the pace of growth in the smart ring market and marketing effectiveness, among others.
Drawing from an unnamed source, the report paints a promising picture of the Galaxy Ring 2. The successor is expected to refine the formula in several key areas, including improved sensor accuracy, enhanced wearing comfort, and a thinner, lighter build. Most notably, battery life is rumoured to stretch up to 10 days on a single charge, comfortably surpassing the seven days that the current Galaxy Ring is claimed to offer.
Meanwhile, Galaxy Ring was launched at Rs 38,999 in 2024. Now, the ring is available at Amazon at Rs 18,999. It is available in nine size options ranging from Size 5 to Size 13, with the ring itself weighing between 2.3g and 3.0g depending on the size chosen. It is crafted from Titanium Grade 5 and carries a 10ATM and IP68 rating.
On the sensor front, the Galaxy Ring packs three sensors: an accelerometer, a PPG sensor for heart rate monitoring, and a skin temperature sensor. It connects to a paired device via BLE 5.4 and is compatible with Android 11 or higher with at least 1.5GB of memory.
Battery capacity varies by size, ranging from 18mAh for Size 5 up to 23.5mAh for Size 13, with the ring claiming up to seven days of battery life. A 30-minute charge is enough to top it up to 40 per cent. The accompanying charging case houses a 361mAh battery for portable top-ups on the go.
